Working with the Hugo brands has been one of the most creatively fulfilling and operationally dynamic experiences in my career. Across three connected brands, 17th & Ocean, Hugo Film Co., and Hugo Atelier, my role revolved around design, development, and backend systems. My work with Hugo Atelier, in particular, focused on bringing a new brand to life from the ground up.

What stood out to me most in this project was the level of trust and creative freedom I was given. While there was a clear vision from Jonathan and Jessica, there was also space for me to interpret, refine, and translate that vision into something tangible.

The process was highly collaborative. It wasn’t just about designing a website, but about understanding how the brand should feel when experienced online. Every decision, from layout to structure, was made with intention, ensuring that the final result felt aligned with their identity while remaining intuitive for the user.

At the same time, I approached the project with a strong focus on clarity and usability. Beyond aesthetics, it was important that the experience guided visitors naturally, allowing the work to speak for itself without unnecessary friction.

What I value most about this experience is the balance it required. Hugo Atelier challenged me to think not only as a designer, but also as a strategic partner.
